We have been involved in the excimer laser eye surgery since 1995. The founder of the OFTUM centers is Prof. MUDr Tomas Juhas DrSc., who has worked with the complexities of the laser systems since 1985. He has performed more than 15,000 successful operations and has had three generations of laser systems pass through his hands.
Prof. MUDr Peter Strmen, CSc. who heads Bratislava’s surgical team, is the leading consultant in the field. He has held the position of Head of Bratislava’s University Eye Clinic for many years.

Prof. MUDr. Tomáš JUHÁS, DrSc
	Graduate and Doctor of Sciences at the Charles’ University in Prague (Karlova Univerzita). Professor of Ophthalmology of Comenius University in Bratislava (Univerzita Komenskeho). Member of the American Ophthalmology Academy (AAO), Member of the European VitreoRetinal Society (EVRS), Member of the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) Founder member of International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS) In 2004 he was the first surgeon in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and one of the first in Europe to introduce the Epi-Lasik method into his clinic - OFTUM in Kosice. An experienced surgeon, with almost 30 years in practice performed over 15,000 laser surgeries. Established laser treatment of Glaucoma in Slovakia since 1985.

Prof. MUDr. Peter STRMEŇ, CSc.
Graduate and Professor of Comenius University in Bratislava (Univerzita Komenskeho). Head of the Eye Clinic FN (Fakultna Nemocnica) in Bratislava, District and Senior Specialist for Ophthalmology at the Ministry of Health for Slovakia Member of the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) Member of the European Vitreo Retinal Society (EVRS), Member of the International Society of Ocular Toxicology (ISOT) He has published 105 scientific papers both at home and abroad (worldwide). The Slovak Ophthalmology Society has awarded him with ‘The Best Publication’ award. An experienced surgeon with more than 30 years of practice. First experience with excimer laser eye surgery in 1993.

MUDr. Lívia BELÁŇOVÁ
	Graduate of Comenius University in Bratislava (Univerzita Komenskeho) Dissertations of I.and II. degree specialising in ophthalmology. Special exam in the branch of ophthalmology in children. Certificate for the application of contact lenses. Continuously participating at Conferences of Ophthalmologists at home and abroad, published papers. Practised as an Ophtalmologist since 1983 at the Eye Clinic FN (Fakultna Nemocnica) in Bratislava, the Children’s Eye Clinic at the FN in Bratislava (specializing in myopia (shortsightedness) in children) and the PRO BIOS s.r.o. private clinic in Bratislava.

Graduate of Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice Specialization in ophthalmology since 2002 Specialization in refractive, cataract and retinal surgery since 2006, graduate of European Vitreoretinal training school 2006. Member of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Member of the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) Had both eyes excimer laser surgery in 1996, surgeon was his father prof. Juhas.
